Thanks to the consistent heat over the past week, a new high temperature record has been set for the Quinte region, and another one could be in store today.
Yesterday’s high was 28.9 degrees as measured at CFB Trenton
The previous high temperature record for a Sept 23 was 27.8 set in 1961
The high mark for a September 24 is also 27.8, set in 1970
Thirty-one degrees is the predicted high today, with the humidex playing a factor.
A heat warning is still in effect for today.
