The 84th South Hastings Baseball League championship trophy belongs to the Melrose Farrell Excavating Shamrocks.
Tony Whelan had 3 doubles and Nick Walsh pitched a complete game as Melrose defeated Uens Pole Line 7-2 in the 7th game of the final. Walsh was named the playoff MVP.
With the win, Melrose claims the Thornton Portt Trophy.
