The Prince Edward Memorial Hospital Foundation has come up with a new way to share information about the process to bring a new hospital to Picton.
The “neighbourhood gatherings” would involve a foundation board member who could come and speak to a group of friends or family and answer questions about the process, or how things are coming along.
Board Member Lillian Duffy tells Quinte News it’s about getting the right information out to the community and building some excitement around a new hospital.
She adds the casual setting may make it easier for some people to absorb the information and ask questions.
Duffy says the sessions are not intended to be fundraisers and could be held during regular gatherings like coffee meetings, book clubs and others.
