(Tyler Randell)
Two likely Belleville Senators were prominent as the Ottawa Senators defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-2 in the first NHL pre season game for both teams.
Former Belleville Bull Tyler Randell scored at 2:20 of the first period and goaltender Danny Taylor stopped 14 of 15 shots after replacing Craig Anderson mid way through the game.
Randell is a former first round draft pick of the Belleville Bulls and played here from 2007 to 2009.
Auston Matthews had a goal and assist for Toronto. The Sens and Leafs meet again tonight in Toronto.
Former Bull Malcolm Subban allowed 2 goals on 14 shots in Boston’s 3-2 win over Montreal.
