We have a correction to a story about a Tyendinaga man who was charged with various trafficking offenses, following the cross-border Project Silkstone investigation.
Our earlier report stated charges against Justin Freeman had been withdrawn, but in fact he had pleaded guilty a few weeks ago to trafficking firearms, fentanyl and cocaine and had been released until sentencing.
Late last week, Freeman was sentenced to six years in prison, but was given credit for two years of time served.
Freeman is the third of six local people to plead guilty and be sentenced in connection to the investigation, which saw 20 people charged across Ontario and Quebec.
