It is looking to be a strong year for apples, according to a local orchard owner.
Colin Campbell of Campbell’s Orchards says the fruit bud for an apple tree is typically determined the previous summer, and last year they heavily watered their trees.
Others may not be as lucky.
Campbell says because of this year’s waterlogged summer, 2018 will be even stronger.
He adds that pears are shaping up for a tremendous 2017.
