A pilot escaped injury following an emergency landing in a Port Hope field Saturday evening.
According to Northumberland News, the plane reportedly experienced mechanical difficulties and landed on a property on Oak Hill Road, east of Cold Springs Camp Road in Port Hope around 6:30 p.m. yesterday.
The pilot was reported as the only occupant on the plane.
The owner of the property was not at home at the time of the landing, according to police.
Northumberland OPP, fire crews and paramedics responded to the scene.
