Twenty-five years after local weight-lifting pioneer Ken Carr-Braint was inducted into the Belleville Sports Hall of Fame, he will be joined by his son Joel.
Joel Carr-Braint’s Hall of Fame credentials were achieved in Masters Olympic Weightlifting after he turned 40. Carr-Braint is an 18 time Canadian champion while representing this country in 13 Pan-American Masters event winning 11 medals including gold in Montreal in 2010.
Carr-Braint also represented Canada at World Championships twice.

Induction ceremonies for the Belleville Sports Hall of Fame take place in their new home in the Dr. Robert L. Vaughan Atrium on the second level of the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, Saturday at 1. It is open to the public.
