An older 2 storey farm house burned to the ground overnight in Marmora and Lake.
The fire started around 10 o’clock last night at 1170 Cordova Road, northeast of Crowe Lake.
Two adults and eight children lived in the house. A 15-year-old boy suffered some second degree burns, but
will be fine. Everyone else got out safely.
Marmora and Lake Fire Chief Tony Brownson says about $200,000 damage was done and the cause of the fire isn’t known but is not considered suspicious.
The Marmora and Lake Fire Department received support from the Havelock-Belmont-Methuen department.
