Belleville City Council could set the wrecking balls to swinging soon after its meeting this afternoon (Monday).
A staff report is recommending that Environmental Contracting Services of Kingston get the job of demolishing old and deteriorating city owned buildings at 15 Atkins Road, 658 Point Anne Road, and 18 Yeomans Street.
The company provided the low bid of just over $168,000.
Meanwhile, local company Parkside Landscaping is being recommended for the work demolishing the old barns, sheds and pavilions on the former Quinte Exhibition and Raceway grounds on the east side of Sidney Street near the Ben Bleecker building.
Parkside’s bid totalled $42,000.
Belleville council meets at 4 this afternoon at City Hall.
