The first week of school is not just hectic for students and parents, it is also a busy time for school bus drivers and the organization that keeps an eye on all the bus routes.
Tri-Board Transportation oversees busing for the Hastings Prince Edward School Board, the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic School Board and the Limestone District School Board.
Tri-Board’s Gord Taylor, spoke with Mix 97’s Sean and Orlena Thursday morning and says 630 buses transport 30,000 students every school day.
While it is a little early to be thinking snow days, he says when it comes to blanket bus cancellations, the decision involves more than just looking at the weather forecast.
