Residents in Brighton want council to support plans for a bigger and better skatepark.
The skatepark in Brighton was one of the first ones built in the Quinte region back in 2005.
However, many now see it as small and primitive compared to the many others that have since
been built in surrounding communities.
Tonight (Tuesday) at its regular meeting, Brighton council will see a letter from the Brighton Skatepark Committee asking for support to build a new facility. Local fundraising has already begun.
One option under consideration would cost $225,000.
Brighton council meets at 6:30 tonight in council chambers.
