A 29-year-old Picton woman is facing a series of charges after an SUV was reported stolen on August 22.
At 5:15 p.m. police received a complaint that a grey 2002 Toyota Highlander SUV was taken from a residence on York Street in Picton.
According to police the ignition keys were taken from inside the owner’s residence as she was carrying in items from the vehicle.
The SUV was recovered on August 23.
Ainsley Murdoch was charged with break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle, theft under $5000 and driving while suspended under the Highway Traffic Act. She was held for a bail hearing on 24 August 2017.
