The man on the run from police for 4 days is now in custody.
Thirty-three year old Quinte West man Richard Vader, who’s eluded police since Wednesday, was
arrested without incident in the supper hour yesterday (Saturday) near the hamlet of Wallbridge, east of
Frankford.
Several OPP units were involved in the arrest, including a K9 unit and a helicopter.
Vader is alleged to have stolen several vehicles, including pickups, an ATV, and a motorcycle and
spent time running through fields and forests in his flight from police. He was seen in Quinte West,
Campbellford, Stirling-Rawdon, and in Belleville.
Vader, who was convicted on weapons charges in 2010 and wanted in Quinte West for involvement in domestic incidents currently, will appear in Belleville court tomorrow (Monday) and will face a long list of charges.
