Twin sisters in Prince Edward County continue to implore county council to stop rodeos from
performing in the county.
At today’s (Thursday) meeting of council’s Committee of the Whole both Angela Lammes and Annette
McIntosh spoke out against the rodeo, one of which was held last month.
Prince Edward County is now the sponsor of the rodeo show, but staff say they hope to have another
organization take over the shows as soon as possible.
Lammes and McIntosh maintain, as they always have, that rodeos abuse animals, pointing out that
last month they were forced to perform in afternoons featuring a humidex of 30 degrees celsius.
Council received their delegation, but offered no comment.
