Not everyone on Prince Edward County council is happy with the recent restructuring of county departments and staff, especially when it comes to parks and recreation.
The restructuring disbanded the parks and recreation department, leaving supervision of parks, fields, and various recreational activities split between two new departments.
Some on council, concerned about the numbers of resignations by volunteers on local recreation committees, now wonder whether it’s time to go back to a parks and recreation department with more management.
