12 PM UPDATE:
Both eastbound 401 lanes through the Colborne area remain closed following a tractor trailer fire this morning.
Around 4 o’clock this morning, a load of hay the tractor trailer was carrying broke out on the highway. Fortunately the driver was able to escape the vehicle safely.
Currently, traffic is only being allowed to pass by on the centre shoulder.
Fire and other personnel continue to clean up the scene.
The closure is expected to last several more hours.
