The City of Belleville addressed hydro during meetings at the AMO Conference in Ottawa this week.
Municipal officials talked with the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy, regarding two different companies being in charge of city hydro, Veridian in the city, and Hydro One in Thurlow ward.
Councillor Mitch Panciuk.
Panciuk says Veridian wants to buy the remainder of the municipal territory Hydro One operates.
He hopes with government intervention, things can once again get rolling.
