There was an assault at Millhaven Institution on Friday.
Around 2:00 p.m., an investigation began at the prison, southeast of Napanee, and the inmate was transported to hospital with unspecified injuries.
The suspects have been identified and punished.
No other inmates or staff were injured in the assault.
