Another person is leaving the Belleville Downtown Improvement Area.
Multiple sources to Quinte News say that Executive Director Marilyn Lawrie has handed in her resignation and will complete work for the BDIA until August 31, 2017.
We reached out to Lawrie, and Board Chair Dwane Barratt, but both said they could not comment.
Lawrie began the position in March.
Less than a month ago, Office and Events Coordinator Debby Nolan resigned, after being hired last October.
Last August, then Acting Executive Director Erica Holgate and events and office coordinator Andrea McKibben resigned to pursue other ventures.
Several members of the board have also resigned over the past 12 months.
At a February meeting of Belleville Council, Councillor Jack Miller expressed concern with the fact the Executive Director position was only part time.
A source to Quinte News suggests that who ever takes over for Lawrie, will be doing so in a full time position in the BDIA. That also has not been confirmed by Barratt or Lawrie.
