Local firefighters jumped into boats last night (Sunday) to come to the aid of people stranded in the Bay of Quinte, near the mouth of the Salmon River.
Belleville and Mohawk fire departments responded around 9:30.
The boat, stranded on some rocks, was towed to shore and no one was injured.
