UPDATE @ 12:20 P.M.: OPP say all westbound lanes of the 401 have been reopened, between Brighton and Colborne, after this morning’s crash.
The section of highway was closed for about six hours while emergency crews and investigators work at the scene.
Two people have been taken to hospital, one of them with serious injuries.
No other details have been released as of yet.

Two people were injured following a serious crash Monday morning northwest of Brighton.
Around 6:30 a.m., emergency crews were called to the westbound 401, west of County Road 30.
The crash involved a Pontiac Sunfire, and one person sustained life threatening injuries.
The 401 has been closed since.
The roadway is expected to re-open around 1:00 p.m.
