Quinte West mayor Jim Harrison said he plans to address a number of pressing issues at the Association of Municipalities Conference in Ottawa next week.
Mayor Harrison explained the municipality doesn’t have any set delegations with provincial ministers however he is looking forward to networking with officials at all levels of government including Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis and Northumberland-Quinte West MPP Lou Rinaldi.
He said healthcare especially where doctor recruitment is concerned and infrastructure funding are big on his agenda.
Mayor Harrison also expressed a huge interest in talking policing with fellow municipal leaders, plans to widen the 401 corridor and charging stations for electronic cars.
The conference runs from August 13 to 16.
