OPP are releasing more details about a fiery collision that killed two people on Highway 401 near Port Hope Thursday night.
Paramedics, fire crews and Northumberland OPP were called to the crash in the eastbound lanes of the 401 just east of County Road 28 shortly after 10 p.m.
OPP Constable Tanya Royall tells Quinte News a tractor trailer collided with a pickup truck and a sedan.
Constable Royall said the names of the deceased are still being withheld pending next of kin notification.
Meanwhile around 11:35 a.m. the Ministry of Transportation opened one single eastbound lane, however two right eastbound lanes between Toronto Road in Port Hope to Burnham Street in Cobourg remain closed.
