The local housing market remains strong, but last month was a little slower when compared to July of last year.
To the end of July this year, residential sales in the Quinte region are almost 14% higher than the same 7 months last year, however, on a monthly basis, the number of sales were down last month compared to July of 2016.
Meanwhile, the average price of a home sold continues to increase. Last month, the average sale price was around $304,000 compared to $268,000 in July of last year.
According to the Quinte and District Association of Realtors, the area continues to have a “low residential inventory”.
