Drinking water continues to be the main focus of the Band Council with the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte.
Tuesday, Chief R Don Maracle met with MPs Neil Ellis and Mike Bossio to discuss getting better access for residents of the territory.
With the infrastructure funding announced by the federal government, Chief Maracle believes more funding should be coming to southern Ontario.
Maracle says the majority of funding is going to areas in northern Ontario and he is hoping for an equal shake.
He tells Quinte News that MPs Bossio and Ellis will take the Band Council’s concerns to the federal government.
