It’s full steam ahead in the search for another viable water source for people living in the village of Stirling.
Stirling-Rawdon council has voted to hire a consultant to conduct a feasibility study on whether another drinking water source for the village could be found at a reasonable cost.
The study could cost around $85,000 with most of it being paid for by a senior government grant.
Mayor Rodney Cooney says the grant money is only available to the end of the year, so it might as well be used to outline options for drinking water in the future.
