Consecon is the place to be this Saturday.
The 8th annual Consecon Community Day hosted by the Ameliasburgh Recreation committee is gearing up for a full day of family fun events including: community garage sales, an all you can eat pancake breakfast, soap box derby, pig roast and street dance. Funds raised go to support the rec committee and future events.
Derby organizer Nick Nowitski said the full day of events offers something for everyone.
The pig roast dinner at the Consecon Legion runs from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. and then the live band hits the stage for a street dance.
Nowitski said the ever popular Soap Box Derby is getting ready to roll for a 7th straight year on the Mill Street hill for kids aged 7 to 16 and they have some new additions this year.
