The Executive Director for the Percy Boom Snowmobile Club says a recent ATV fatality had nothing to do with their trails.
On Saturday afternoon, emergency officials were called to a trail in Quinte West, where a a 42 year-old man was trapped under an ATV without vital signs.
Officials told Quinte News the incident happened on an Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs trail, however Ross Wheatley says that is not the case.
Wheatley says it happened on an unmaintained municipal road.
He tells us they are not affiliated with the road in the off season.
The trail is however maintained by the Percy Boom Club during the snowmobile season, for snow machines only.
The Percy Boom Snowmobile Club is under the jurisdiction of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs.
