The Frontenac Lennox and Addington Childrens Services continues its search for foster parents.
Spokesman John Suart says there is a “real need for foster parents for teens and kids with special needs.”
He says it’s a big decision for people considering the role, and they sometimes take up to a year making the decision.
Then, he says, they have to go through a comprehensive and lengthy process.
FOSTER PARENT SUART
Suart says the agency has more than 100 foster parents over the two counties right now.
He says they are different ages and from different walks of life, different colours and religions, but the thing they all have in common is they really care about kids and they realize the only way to really make a difference in the lives of the kids that we serve is to make sure that they are foster parents.”
