The final numbers are still being worked out for the Rotary Loves Kids Golf Tournament and Party in the Square however organizers are confident they have hit their $100,000 fundraising goal.
Co-chair Sam Brady said the Friday event saw 200 golfers take to the links at Black Bear Ridge with well over 300 attending the dinner and dance in Market Square.
Brady explained it was perfect weather for the event that raises funds for several children’s care initiatives including: Easter Seals Camp Merrywood; the Children’s Foundation and Belleville General Hospital.
Brady said with the expected $100,000, the campaign has raised $1.3 million over the past 15 years.
