On the 28th of July at 9:15 p.m., a 911 call alerted Prince Edward OPP officers of a disturbance at a residence on Reddick Street in Rossmore.
Upon police arrival it was learned five people had entered the home with weapons and stolen cash, electronics and clothing from the occupants. The suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle.
Descriptions of the suspects and their vehicle was broadcasted to surrounding police agencies and a short time later the vehicle was observed by an OPP officer in Odessa.
A high risk takedown of the vehicle and occupants resulted in the arrest of all five suspects.
A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded weapons used in the robbery and a large quantity of marijuana.
Four adults, all age 19 yrs and one young person have been held for bail hearings to be held on Monday the 31st of July in Belleville courts.
Benjamin BATTAMS, Hayden CALVER, Tommy HOANG, a 19 year old female and a 17 year old male all from the South Frontenac and Kingston areas have been charged with the following offences:
Robbery with a Weapon, Use Firearm While Committing an Offence, Possession of a Scheduled Substance, and Possession of Stolen Property.
No serious injuries resulted during the incident.
