Ameliasburgh residents are petitioning the County to make improvements and reduce the speed on Peats Point.
On Thursday, John Bolton, a representative of the Peats Point Residential Association spoke to the committee of the whole stating a number of potholes are a danger for visitors and costly to the residents due to increased car maintenance cost.
Commission of Engineering Development and Works says the road needs a full reconstruction, ditching and drainage at an estimated cost of $500,000. He says the roads in the queue for 2017 and 18 have already been prioritized.
Fifty residents from Peats Point Road and Howard Crescent have signed the petition.
