Prince Edward County council will decide whether or not to take the first steps necessary toward upgrading a busy highway in the near future.
At its meeting tomorrow night, council will see a report from staff recommending a company to prepare a road condition and rehabilitation options study for County Road 49, linking Picton with the mainland at the Tyendinaga Territory.
The road is highly travelled and its poor condition has been the subject of much discussion.
The study would cost over $77,000.
Prince Edward County council meets Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Shire Hall.
