Fifteen local athletes from the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory have returned from the North American Indigenous Games in Toronto, several with hardware.
In basketball, Team Ontario got past Team Alberta in the women’s final of the U-19s.
The coaching staff featured mother daughter duo, Susan Barberstock and her daughter Sara MacNeil, both of the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
Loyalist Lancer and Moira grad Kirsten Maracle and PECI student Kylie Moyer were on the team.

Meantime Jordan Brant won gold in U-19 Lacrosse, while Taylor Raine and Kendal Tobobadung won silver.
