Brighton council is asking its sewage treatment engineering consultants for more options before making a final decision on improvements to the system.
Occasionally unacceptable levels of ammonia are produced by Brighton’s wastewater system, and consultants were to produce a final recommendation on a fix within the next few days. That recommendation was expected to cost over $6 million.

It’s expected the engineers will bring more options to Brighton council at its meeting later next month.
