It appears several people involved in the marijuana dispensary business in Tyendinaga want to bring their future to the people.
On Wednesday evening at Sadie’s Lane Longhouse, several businesses involved in selling marijuana will host a meeting on selling pot on the Territory.
Earlier this month, Police Chief Ron Maracle announced the Tyendinaga Police Service would address the pop-up pot shops.
The Tyendinaga Band Council says they do not support the businesses either.
On Tuesday, several people designated by the dispensaries handed a letter to the Tyendinaga Police Service requesting the meeting, asking that their future be put in the hands of the community.
It is getting underway at 5:00 p.m.
