Two Belleville residents were charged following a disturbance in the city yesterday afternoon.
Around 1 p.m., police responded to the scene in the area of Dundas Street East and Herchimer Avenue.
Following an investigation, officers arrested 37-year-old Trevor Vardy and 30-year-old Melinda Proud and charged each of them with one count of assault.
They were both released with August court dates.
No injuries were reported.
