A civilian contractor working in an electrical room at the recreation centre on CFB Trenton’s south side was taken to hospital today with burns to his arms and hands.
After 11 this morning (Saturday), an electrical fire broke out at the gym.
8 Wing firefighters and ambulance responded and had the smoky fire out quickly.
The Quinte West Fire Department was put on standby during the incident.
A damage estimate is not available, and an investigation into the cause continues.
