Police have officially launched their new A-L-P-R-S vehicle, that stands for Automated License Plate Recognition System..
It has a system of cameras and computers mounted to it that detect licence plates “not in good standing” and notifies the officer in the police vehicle.
Officers in the Traffic Safety Unit will be driving this in the city for increased public safety throughout the city.
