The change of command season continued at CFB Trenton Thursday, with a new head of the squadron responsible for passenger, baggage, freight and mail transportation in and out of the base.
Lieutenant-Colonel Teresa Brown takes over for Lieutenant-Colonel Paul Young, as the new CO of 2 Air Movement Squadron.
Lieutenant-Colonel Brown is quite familiar with 8 Wing, having held various positions with the Transportation and Electrical Engineering Squadron in 2007, providing support during Haiti earthquake relief efforts in 2010 and acting as Commanding Officer of the 8 Wing Logistics and engineering Branch.
She also held a Deputy Commanding Officer post with 2 Air Movement Squadron from 2012 to 2014, with deployments in the Yukon and Kosovo.
Lieutenant-Colonel Young is moving on to Winnipeg to a new post at 1 Canadian Air Division Headquarters.
