The search for a Belleville man who disappeared on Mazinaw Lake more than a week ago continues.
On June 24, Napanee OPP, the OPP Marine Unit, with the assistance of local paramedics and fire departments, responded to a report of a missing male on Mazinaw Lake.
A 47-year-old Belleville man took his family and friends tubing in a smaller aluminum boat. The man entered the water to assist the female but experienced distress, went below the water and did not resurface.
The OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit have conducted numerous searches of the area but have been unsuccessful in locating the man.
Napanee OPP and Snow Machine, All Terrain Vehicle, and Vessels Enforcement (S.A.V.E.) unit are continuing with the investigation.
