One of six Quinte region people charged in a cross border illegal drug and firearms investigation last February has been sentenced.
Recently, 28-year-old Amanda Hewitt of Quinte West was sentenced to 30 months in jail and a 10-year weapons prohibition. She had already served 110 days in pre-sentence custody.
She was found guilty of trafficking weapons.
In total, 18 people were charged in a multi-jurisdictional police operation dubbed Project Silkstone.
The investigation targeted criminal groups trafficking drugs and weapons along the Highway 401 corridor.
The other five Quinte region people charged are still before the courts.
