Napanee OPP are investigating after two people were injured in an ATV collision on Canada Day.
Around 8:30 p.m. on July 1, officers with the Napanee detachment and Tyendinaga Police Service responded to an ATV crash on Old Highway 2 near Shannonville.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators attended the scene as the ATV had rolled and trapped the woman driving underneath; the passenger was able to free her prior to police arrival.
Both were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It’s reported neither was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
No charges have been laid and the investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
