We have just persevered through the wettest spring since records started being kept back in 1935.
In April, May, and June 494.5 millimetres of rain fell on the Quinte region, according to measurements taken at CFB Trenton and reported on Environment Canada.
That translates to just under 19.5 inches.
Only 96mm of rain fell in those same 3 months last year.
The second soggiest spring occurred in 1984 when over 380mm of rain fell in this area.
The driest and dustiest April, May, and June on record happened 81 years ago in 1936 when a paltry 44.5mm of rain fell.
The average amount of rainfall in the spring months in the Quinte region is around 230mm.
