Quinte West OPP have laid some weapons-related charges after a traffic stop on Wednesday.
Officers with the Organized Crime Enforcement Unit and uniformed patrol stopped a car on Highway 33 near the 401 where two firearms were found.
Richard Chad Starr has been charged with two counts each of transporting a prohibited weapon in a careless manner, unauthorized possession of a firearm and occupying a vehicle knowing there was a firearm inside.
He was held for a bail hearing.
