Prince Edward County firefighters kept a small bedroom fire from getting much worse earlier this morning.
At around 3:30 this morning (Friday), firefighters were called to a house at 37 Novotny Court, which is along the shores of Wellers Bay, north of Consecon.
The residents had put out a small fire in a bedroom, but flames had spread into a wall of the house.
Firefighters breached the wall, and doused the flames there. No one was injured.
