The City of Belleville could soon start regulating people who bicycle, skateboard, or drive scooters in the downtown.
Councillor Mitch Panciuk says many residents and business owners are concerned about the dangers posed by skateboarders, cyclists and scooter drivers who use the sidewalks in the downtown.
City staff will present a bylaw, complete with definitions and set fines, to a meeting in the near future for council’s consideration.
