An OPP investigation is ongoing in Asphodel-Norwood after a train hit a car on Tuesday evening.
It happened at a crossing on the Third Line, north of Highway 7, just before 6:00 p.m.
Investigators say an SUV was travelling northbound and didn’t stop at the uncontrolled crossing and was hit by an eastbound freight train.
Four people in the SUV were taken to hospital, with injuries ranging from serious to minor.
OPP say none of the injuries is life-threatening, but are reminding all drivers to come to a complete stop at all uncontrolled crossings and to only proceed when the crossing is clear.
