Belleville council certainly won’t stand in the way of a new beer store near the Quinte Mall.
At its meeting tonight (Tuesday), council enthusiastically supported an application to the province by The
Beer Store to build an outlet somewhere west of the mall.
Councillor Mitch Panciuk declared a conflict of interest and did not take part in the vote or discussion as he owns
the Boston Pizza restaurant near where The Beer Store would be.
Currently, Belleville’s beer stores are both near the downtown.
